Second Annual Sarah E. B. Adams Sonnet Competition, First Prize,
and the Second Annual Sarah E. B. Adams Non-Sonnet Competition, First and Third Prizes (1968)

Runner-up in WCLV-Cleveland bumper sticker contest for "Schubert Procrastinated" (Prize was 2 full opera albums:  Wagner's "Tannhäuser" and Berlioz's "Benvenuto Cellini"; and 60 boxes of Cracker-Jack, each of which had the same inane prize, so inane I can't remember what it was.) (ca. 1972)

Rival (friendly) station WCRB published both "Casey Jones was a track star" and "Cleveland is an Erie place" as a result of their bumper-sticker competition (ca. 1976-8)

Navigator for first team in safely in night-time Escape and Evasion exercise at Camp Bullis, Texas (1978 -- no actual prize awarded, but we were first)

Member of team with highest score in 4-man scramble held at Ireland Army Hospital, Fort Knox, Kentucky (1985 -- certificate) -- this is golf, remember.
